A great speech by one of the greatest persons of this world, listen carefully what he says, you will see the world differently.

Alright, I guess the title says it all. As the Almighty Google slowly and surely taking full control of our online lives, it does once in a while remind some of us what that control means. On 30th December while I was actually searching an email in my GMail Inbox during a Skype session with Jo Vermeulen , suddenly all my emails (over 12K) disappeared including Sent emails. Jo immediately told me that it happened to many people before, and termed as “Gmail Disaster“. Well, there you go, free service comes with a price, is not it? Well done Google!! By the way did you guys notice that BETA term is not there anymore in the GMail site!
I have been using these two fantastic plugins: Herlad and LetterBox for Apple’s Mail.app for quite a while and yet to face any annoying bugs. Since both of them have passed the reliability (well, its always relative) tests on mine, I thought of sharing them here.
During the iMind 2010 event, I came across of this interesting project called “Memento”, The objective of the project is very straight forward but overly ambitious : giving a temporal aspect to your web experience, i.e., allowing you to access the web of past. Citing from their website :
If you know the URI of a Web resource, the technical framework proposed by Memento allows you to see a version of that resource as it existed at some date in the past, by entering that URI in your browser like you always do and by specifying the desired date in a browser plug-in.
Last week I was attending iMind 2010, Bell Labs’ Open Innovation Day at Ghent. In one of the break out sessions – “Media Value Chain” : Nico Verplancke from IBBT showed a funny video on so-called Digital Natives. Enjoy it!!
Apparently, this part of the year seems to be my blogging time. Last year around this time I revamped my site and blog in an attempt to share some of my thoughts. Well, now after a year, here I am with zero post. So, before the year ends let me share at least a few posts and start with wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas.
Some of you might be wondering where are the old posts, well they are in one of my backup archives. I will find some time to upload them in coming weeks.
Well, its been quite a while I wrote something here. When I first created this blog my optimistic intention was to write at least once a week, well until now that never happened. 2010 has already arrived and I am hoping for some fresh and exciting time in coming months. To start with, I spent last weekend to revamp my website and this blog. Hopefully, the excitement will be sustained, and I will be writing here more frequently.
